PETA is serving breakfast with a bite with Pig Farm, an animated short film that’s no barnyard singalong. The music video—created by advertising agency Grey London and production house Biscuit Filmworks, with direction by Jeff Low—employs a darkly humorous yet unsettling approach to highlight the realities of pig farming and the treatment of hogs before they get slaughtered.
The animation, borrowing cues from retro classics like Cuphead and Ren and Stimpy, opens with a seemingly blissful family breakfast spread, complete with pancakes, sausages, and bacon. The two young daughters are shown asking their dad about his job, and he explains with a melody about working at the farm.

The father’s cheerful narrative is backed with scenarios of happy pigs—some of them even fly. However, the façade quickly crumbles as the visuals shift to reveal the harsh story behind these breakfast staples.
In tandem with this cartoon, PETA has created a calendar measured in “pig years” that stops after six months, along with a crockery set displaying tortured cartoon swine. The merchandise will be made available in its online store.
