MrBeast, known for his outrageous stunts and expensive giveaways, has been dealt with a choc-block over the cheeky name of one of his candy bars. The legal battle involves a Florida-based company called Dee’s Nuts, a purveyor of nuts that argues that the YouTube star’s Deez Nutz offering infringes on its trademark.
The court ended up siding with the original Dee’s Nuts, which has held the trademark since 2012. Dee’s Nuts owner Brian Ditore asserted the confectionary names were “confusingly similar”—a claim likely aided by the memorable nature of both monikers.
Ditore’s company, founded over a decade ago, sells its products in 34 states, and is said to have been christened after his grandmother.
This legal nut-cracker has forced a rebranding for the fairly new Feastables, which was founded by the internet celebrity in 2022. As a result of the lawsuit, MrBeast—real name James Donaldson—can no longer use “Deez Nutz” or anything remotely similar on the candy label’s packaging in the United States.
As a result, the Deez Nutz bar, along with its later iteration Deez Nutz Crunch, have vanished from shelves, with less standout names like “peanut butter” and “peanut butter crunch” taking their place.
Perhaps to steer clear of future entanglements with a certain peanut butter chocolate company distinguished by its orange and yellow wrappers, MrBeast has introduced new blue packaging for his version, on top of tweaking its formula and mold.

Ever the comedian, the YouTuber recently poked fun at a man named “Deez-Nuts Kroll” who was arrested in Wisconsin, jokingly urging the latter to change his name to avoid similar legal trouble.
He should change his name before he gets sued

Despite the trademark tussle, Feastables remains popular, and its candy bars continue to fly off shelves in major retailers. It seems even a salty defeat can't stop MrBeast’s sweet tooth empire.
