The Tuxedo Cat can be adorned with either yellow or blue eyes, and builders can choose between an open or closed mouth expression. Additionally, its head, ears, paws, and tail are all adjustable, enabling a variety of cheeky poses. Felines are known to be finicky but this purr-fect friend is not.

Designed with adult builders in mind, the kit crawls in with detailed, illustrated steps that guide the builder through each step of the process. For a more high-tech approach, the LEGO Builder app offers instructions and 3D digital viewing tools.

In a former one of its nine lives, the Tuxedo Cat—standing over 12.5 inches tall and made up of 1,710 pieces—was once a brown cat envisioned by fan designer Damian Andres, known as The Yellow Brick, who amassed the required number of votes for LEGO to bring it to life. The company decided to give the character a tuxedo coat in the end, however.
Set to be released on June 1, the Tuxedo Cat model will be available for US$99.99.
