Who says prince charming doesn’t exist?
A proposal video is currently melting the internet’s heart, as it shows a man pulling the ultimate feat for Disney lovers in order to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
Lee Loechler hijacked a screening of the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty, replacing Aurora’s face with his partner’s and Prince Phillip’s with his own. The revised animation, with illustrations by Australian character designer Kayla Coombs, was broadcasted in front of a packed movie theater room.
As shown in his video, the romantic scene sees the Disney prince leaning in to kiss the princess, but it soon shows the image of a tan princess. Loechler’s girlfriend seems unaware of the tribute at first, but the film affirms something else is going on when it cuts to an illustration of Loechler.
As an even grander gesture, the animated prince opens a ring box and tosses the ring to his portrayer.
Loechler, now standing in front of the audience, declares, “It’s not every day you get to propose to your high school sweetheart.”
Though touched, his embarrassed girlfriend expresses feeling bad for the strangers having to put up with the stunt. Thankfully, Loechler reveals that the audience is “all in on it,” and his partner turns around to realize she’s surrounded by her friends and family.
Loechler pops the question: “Will you live happily ever after with me?”
Guess what her answer was.
