After rolling out Photoshop on iPad, Adobe announced back in November that it will be launching an Illustrator app for the Apple tablet this year.
According to MacRumors, Adobe users have been receiving an invitation to beta-test the new Illustrator on iPad.
The new iPad app will harness the tablet interface, including its camera and stylus, for a more natural, smarter and intuitive experience.
Users, for instance, will be able to snap a photo of a hand-drawn sketch and automatically have it transformed into vector shapes on Illustrator on iPad.
Adobe also explained in its blog post last year that there will be no loss of detail or precision in Illustrator files worked on via the iPad. The designs can also be saved to the Creative Cloud to be used on the desktop.
The company has yet to announce a release date for the app. However, you can apply for early access here.
