iHeart launched a Living Room Concert to bring positivity to audiences of the world during the COVID-19 outbreak. Hosted by Elton John, the show also raised funds for two US charities, per the BBC.
The concert took place at the homes of celebrities to promote social distancing and self-isolation in order to contain the coronavirus. It saw performances from musicians like Alicia Keys, Dave Grohl, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and Sam Smith.
Demi Lovato, Lizzo and Lady Gaga even made special appearances during the virtual spectacle. The Backstreet Boys were also enlisted for a reunion performance during the concert.
The night ended with Mariah Carey belting out her iconic hit song, Always Be My Baby, from her home studio located in New York. The wholesome set also came with backup singers harmonizing from their own dwellings.
