Many are currently self-isolating in a bid to contain the coronavirus spread. Facebook’s latest app, called Tuned, couldn’t have launched at a better time, as it aims to digitally connect loved ones who are now separated due to the crisis.
Tuned is designed as “a private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves.” It allows partners to connect their Spotify accounts to share music, set moods, send photos and voice messages, as well as share stickers and reactions to each other privately.
The latest app was conceived by the social media giant’s New Product Experimentation (NPE) team, which was formed last year to work on experimental apps targeted for the masses.
Tuned was first spotted by The Information, and it reports that Facebook’s data privacy will still be applied to the app, so whatever you share on the app will be seen between you, your partner, and Facebook, as well.
Tuned is now available for those in the US and Canada through the App Store.
