It’s little wonder why iPhones are getting larger. Even the folks at Apple aren’t fully used to its keyboard sizes and autocorrect feature, possible culprits behind an employee’s hilarious misspelling amid the unveiling of Apple’s new macOS version, Big Sur.
As reported by CNET, people who had registered to try out the beta software for macOS 11.0 received an email from the tech giant that it was ready for testing. However, what stopped recipients in their tracks was that the subject of the email had advertised something called “Bug Sur.” It was a pretty bug gaffe, indeed.
Just like the preceding versions such as Mojave and Catalina, Big Sur is named after a natural landscape in California. Big Sur itself is an extensive mountainous area of the Central Coast of California that’s famous for its striking scenery.
Thankfully, the software’s name was correctly spelled out in the email’s marketing image, but tech enthusiasts had a field day poking fun at the buggy typo.
You don’t even need to imagine that with #BugSur 🤣 pic.twitter.com/kGTk7qDqb8

Could have been worse, I suppose. They could have called it Bug Sure. pic.twitter.com/LU9oDUDrfi
