Kanye West announced that he will be running for president this year, and even got a positive response from US president Donald Trump for the decision.
However, in an interview with Forbes, he mentioned that he has yet to register with the Federal Election Commission and also missed the deadline to be on the ballot for several states.
In the same interview, West declared that he will be running for president under the “Birthday Party” banner because he believes “it’s everybody’s birthday” when the party wins. He also revealed that his running mate will be Wyoming preacher Michelle Tidball and that his campaign slogan is simply, “Yes!”
Despite his famous bromance with the US president, West proclaimed that he no longer supports Trump as Commander in Chief. “It looks like one big mess to me,” he shared. “I am taking the red hat off, with this interview.”
West did not fall short in confidence as he described himself to be “one of the most powerful humans” in the world. The rapper and fashion mogul expressed confidence of his win as he politely asked Trump and Joe Biden to step out of the race now.
“For the other candidates, I just gracefully suggest [you all] bow out. Trump and Biden, gracefully bow out,” West declared.
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION
