Discoveries from Apple’s own iOS 14 beta, along with several past reports, offer substantial evidence that the company will be releasing a 5.4-inch iPhone 12, possibly making it the smallest bezel-free iPhone yet. In contrast, the iPhone 11 Pro’s display size stands at 5.7 inches.
Overall, the tech giant is anticipated to drop two mid-tier iPhone 12 models—one 5.4-inch version and the other measuring at 6.1 inches—as well as a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max later this year, on top of the 2020 iPhone SE that was released in April.
While the lineup’s expected designs have been teased through dummy units, you can now envision the display of the 5.4-inch iPhone in your hand, thanks to mockups done by MacRumors.
The Apple-focused publication has simulated just how tiny the 5.4-inch iPhone will appear in your palm, as compared to when you’re holding the 6.1-inch iPhone 11; 5.7-inch iPhones X, XS and 11 Pro; and 6.5-inch iPhones XS Max and 11 Pro Max.
The mockups are best viewed through the aforementioned devices, as they are designed and differentiated to scale.
If you’re a left-hander using an iPhone 11 Pro Max or iPhone XS Max, the expected iPhone 12 will look especially compact in your palm, as shown in the preview below. You can closely visualize how it looks versus other models here.
