Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons has achieved massive success, having debuted during the coronavirus crisis when more people began turning to the virtual world for connections. So, it’s no surprise that Joe Biden’s campaign has leveraged the video game’s popularity by releasing official merchandise on there.
Biden and Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign has launched virtual signboards that can be displayed on players’ lawns to express their endorsements for the Democratic candidates.
There are a total of four designs, including signs with Biden and Harris’ names, as well as an illustration of Biden’s sunglasses in red, white, and blue colors.
“Show your Biden/Harris pride virtually! If you play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, scan the QR code of the merch you want to add. We plan on expanding options for your island, so stay tuned,” the campaign’s website reads.
There’s no need to get a paid Nintendo Switch Online account, as the virtual signs are available to download for free via QR codes on the Joe Biden store.
