The sky is not the limit for the contestants of an upcoming reality show Space Hero, where the winner will earn a seat to the 2023 mission to the International Space Station (ISS), the biggest prize on reality television history.
The reality show will bring together a group of space enthusiasts, who will undergo intensive training and face challenges that will push their physical, mental and emotional strength in order to become an astronaut in space.
Viewers from all around the globe can tune in and vote for the candidate they would like to see head to the ISS for 10 days alongside professional astronauts, orbiting Earth 16 times a day.
The Space Hero champion will get on board the SpaceX Dragon rocket for the ambitious trip to space.
The show will run under the US-based production company Space Hero Inc, and produced by Ben Silverman and Howard Owen’s Propagate, per Deadline.
Prior to this, a private Dutch company called Mars One unveiled plans to send 24 humans to Mars and document the experience as a reality television show. However, the firm couldn’t materialize the concept as it went bankrupt.
