Iconic characters from satirical cartoon show South Park made special appearances, in the form of cardboard standees, during an NFL match at the Denver Broncos stadium.
The character cutouts were all seated apart from each other while wearing face masks in accordance to COVID-19 safety regulations.
NFL reporter Benjamin Albright shared images of the cutouts ahead of the Broncos football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“In addition to the 5,700 or so live socially-distanced fans, the #Broncos will have the entire town of South Park in the stands today,” he wrote in a tweet.
Besides livening the stadium, the characters were brought to life to promote the show’s upcoming hour-long episode, titled The Pandemic Special, on Comedy Central on 30 September 2020.
