It’s strange to think that The Child is turning almost one year older since he was introduced to the internet. While the adorable star from Disney+’s The Mandalorian series has become an obsession of many—inspiring all sorts of merchandise—it appears that it’s possible for him to look even cuter than all the images you’ve seen so far.
Fans now have a closer glimpse at Baby Yoda’s character design, thanks to preview pages for The Art of The Mandalorian book that have just been posted online.
One of the concept artworks shows The Child without his cloak on, revealing only a brown onesie. Baby Yoda turns out to have a body shaped like that of chubby human infant, complete with a cute tushy and stubby legs.
In a couple of other images, Baby Yoda is carried around in a backpack instead of floating in a pod.
The behind-the-scenes art book is open for preorders, and will be made available from 1 December 2020.
Before the book’s debut, fans can get more of Baby Yoda as season two of The Mandalorian kicks off on 30 October.
