adidas has partnered with Karlie Kloss to design a capsule of eco-friendly activewear that highlights the model’s non-profit organization Kode With Klossy.
The collaboration, which is inspired by Kloss’ background in sports, aims to deliver on the performance needs of the next generation while inspiring young women to harness the power of an active lifestyle.
The collection features a pair of fishnet mesh leggings, navy leggings, and bright orange sweats with buttons on the sides. The capsule also boasts a range of white and orange sports bras, navy jackets and pullovers. These pieces can be paired with streetwear garments for a more versatile look.
In an effort to minimize plastic waste, the collection also incorporates PRIMEBLUE and PRIMEGREEN—upcycled plastic waste collected from remote beaches.
Alongside the collection launch, adidas will partner with digital fashion house The Fabricant’s creators to design a 3D interpretation of the collection’s WIND.RDY Parka.
“Staying active is such an integral part of my physical and mental health, and I’ve learned so much about teamwork and community from participating in sports throughout my life,” Kloss spoke about the collection. “To design a collection with adidas is truly a dream come true. I hope this collaboration inspires the next generation of women to use sport to fuel their passions and achieve their ambitions.”
The collection will launch online on 1 December, followed by seasonal drops in 2021.
