As man’s best friends, dogs have been given a glimpse of the human experience with pup-sized backpacks and even their own airport bathroom. The next thing to keep them as comfy as possible? UGG boots.
That’s right, the footwear company has launched its first-ever UGGs for dogs—or should we say, UGGs for pugs?—in a collaboration with New York-based dogwear label Very Important Puppies (V.I.P.).
The boots intertwine UGG’s Classic Boot style with Very Important Puppies’ utility-focused streetwear design for pups. The shoes are constructed with luxurious faux suede and faux fur trims, and feature the iconic overstitch seams.
Functionality-wise, they sport front openings and adjustable straps for easy wear, along with durable rubber outsoles so they can be worn outside in spite of the elements.
Apart from UGG’s neutral tan, the UGG x V.I.P collection also comes in a vibrant black and lime green colorway, a nod at V.I.P.’s love for pop colors.
The four-legged boots are priced at US$80, and can be preordered at the UGG and Very Important Puppies websites, before making their way to UGG’s Fifth Avenue flagship outlet and select Nordstrom stores for retail.
