A new global campaign by health brand FitTrack aims to fight the perception that fitness can be measured by a number on the weighing scale.
The health brand has teamed up with Toronto-based agency The Garden for a body-positive campaign called Live Your True Health to debunk “industry myths” about being overweight and highlight that true health is not a once-size-fits-all proposition.
The advertisements feature a cast of fit people, all with different body shapes and sizes, demonstrating their achievements in different sports. This shows that health and wellbeing is not determined by their weight.
“When it comes to the health and fitness industry, there is a severe lack of representation in body types,” said The Garden’s associate creative director, Francheska Galloway-Davis. “But there are so many healthy people, and even amazing athletes, who don’t have the ‘perfect body’ or fit the industry’s picture of health. We wanted to put a spotlight on real people who can do extraordinary things, to help bust stereotypes.”
The campaign also includes online videos, out-of-home posters and an influencer appeal featuring Khloé Kardashian.
