In a parallel reality, Kamala Harris’ controversial magazine cover is fronted by Joe Biden, and people love it.
Biden is now the face of America, so, in a lighthearted Photoshop project, British GQ magazine decided to hypothetically dress him up in all-American looks.
The over-the-top mock photography spread envisions a preppy “Swagger-in-Chief” in various outfits that the publication believes are in line with “the broad canon of American style,” paying homage to how Biden has been rocking several fashion genres throughout the years—from his Ray-Ban aviators to his denim shirts and Rolex Datejust.
In one of the getups, Biden is depicted in a wholly formal outfit, dressed in a Versace suit, as well as a TM Lewin shirt, tie, and pocket square. Complete with an Aspinal of London suitcase in hand, Biden channels “the wolf of the White House.”
Another ensemble portrays a full contrast from the businessman look—it imagines POTUS as a stylish cowboy, tossing his hat in the desert while the tassels of his suede jacket flit in the wind.
There’s also Biden as an Ivy League prep guy swinging his Tommy Hilfiger outerwear over his shoulder at the Oval Office, and an outfit reprising the style of a young Biden.
The concepts were created all in the name of fun, and given their bizarre nature, social media users have been sharing the photos and second-guessing if the images had really come from a magazine.
“What fresh hell is this?” asked supermodel Emily Ratajkowski.
