There are people who love flowers, and people who would much rather receive bouquets of fried chicken. Uber Eats’ new addition is for those who fall in the latter camp.
The limited-edition Rose Gold Meal is part of the service’s collaboration with American Express, which has just reintroduced the well-loved metal rose gold card as a permanent option in the US. To celebrate, the pair have teamed up with David Chang’s fried chicken joint Fuku to make gold-dusted chicken sandwiches a reality.
The US$15 Rose Gold Meal will be available to order only via Uber Eats from 13 to 14 February in Los Angeles and New York City. It will come with a Knockout Sando stamped with messages like “I’m Yours,” “XOXO,” and “Be Mine,” along with a bubbly drink by United Sodas of America, a lavender vanilla candle from C&E Craft Co, and a rose gold sugar cookie from Tiny Kitchen Treats, via Travel + Leisure.
From this month onwards, Amex Gold Card members will also be able to redeem up to US$120 per year in Uber Cash, which can be used for rides or food orders.
