To show off a fun new range of ‘Swoosh Mart’ Air Max sneakers, Japanese sneaker brand atmos has opened a popup store modeled after the mini marts of Japan.
Those feeling a little peckish in the wee hours will have to head to another konbini, or convenience store, as the limited-time ‘atmosmart’ only stocks snacks for the sole. There’s a chiller with apparel and footwear, and shelves with fried chicken and rice ball-themed Air Max 90s, energy jelly shot-inspired Air Max 97s and Air Max 95s, as well as shirts printed with instant ramen imagery.
In place of the usual magazines, customers are treated to exclusive Nike- and atmos-themed zines and posters.
According to Sneaker Freaker, fans can’t walk in as they please, like they would with typical konbinis. To be able to step inside atmosmart, they’ll have to book a slot online, so it’s certainly not the place to fix your late-night copping pangs.
