Oh snap, said the instant camera and the crocodile. In a quirky and nostalgic tie-up for Spring 2021, Polaroid and Lacoste have launched a camera and apparel inspired by one another’s classic branding. Its fun factor is cranked up in hopes that everyone can “leave 2020 behind.”
As shared by PetaPixel, the collaboration includes a green and red Polaroid 600 instant film camera modeled to look like Lacoste’s crocodile logo when the cover is lifted. The cheeky gadget is priced at €150 (US$180) on the Lacoste Europe online store.

The bulk of the partnership comprises Technicolor tracksuits, sweatshirts, T-shirts, swimming trunks, and more decked in photo prints and interpretations of Polaroid’s rainbow logo, which was designed in 1963. The Lacoste Live x Polaroid apparel encapsulates “saturated palette, warm colors, cult and intimate moments,” according to a press release shared with DesignTAXI.
The lookbook is aptly captured in Polaroids, and an accompanying stop-motion jigsaw puzzle film by photographer Simon Schmitt previews the cheerful pieces in a spirit reminiscent of the 1970s. Advertising agency BETC helped with the colorful campaign.
In addition, Lacoste and Polaroid have created an Instagram filter for filmophiles keen to snap Stories with a similar vibe.
The Polaroid-themed clothing is now available online and in selected outlets across London, Milan, New York, Paris, and Shanghai. Glimpse at the vibrant campaign shots below.
