At least for now, a notch-free iPhone seems to be a pipe dream. A visual of iPhone 13 parts, obtained by MacRumors, suggests that there’ll still be a notch on the upcoming lineup—but it will be smaller.
The Apple-focused news site received the photo of front glass panels, supposedly for the iPhone 13 series, from greek repair service iRepair. It sees three versions of the iPhone, featuring the same display sizes of 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.7 inches, with evidently smaller notches than those of the iPhone 12 lineup.
In addition, there’s a space cut into the notch, indicating that the earpiece speaker could be moved to the top of the iPhone 13.
Predictions for a smaller notch have previously been made by reputed tech leakers. The repositioning of the earpiece, however, is entirely new.
