Since bidding adieu to its social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter in January, Bottega Veneta had apparently been busy working on the first issue of their digital publication, Issue 01. Creative director Daniel Lee had previously opened up about his dislike of social media, saying it “felt empty” and that “the concepts lacked depth.”
It’s no wonder the luxury fashion house’s re-entry into the online landscape isn’t boring or static – this online magazine features photo spreads, videos, and even spoken word pieces, taking a new approach to “traditional” media.
The magazine “flips” the pages, making it feel more like you’re reading an actual magazine. Even the advertisements for its collection are innovative, involving looping gifs and time-lapse videos.

The brand called up a star-studded lineup for its debut issue, with contributors including Barbara Hulanicki, Elaine Constatine, Masayoshi Matsumoto, Bindi Steel, Caleb Femi, DeadHungry, and even hip-hop star Missy Elliott featuring within its pages.
Scheduled to be released every quarter, you can now enjoy Issue 01 on Bottega Veneta’s website.
