Amanda Gorman, who is the youngest poet to perform at a presidential inauguration, is featured on the cover of Vogue magazine’s May 2021 issue.
The publication released two covers for the issue. Gorman was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the first cover and Doreen St. Felix for the second one.
For the Leibowitz-shot cover, Gorman is seen wearing a gorgeous Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh dress and Tory Burch sandals. She also has an Auvere ear cuff in her hair and Khems Designs hair charms.
According to Vogue, the dress is inspired by Abloh’s African heritage. Abloh explained that he was inspired to design the one-shoulder frock after his mother showed him an image of his Ghanaian grandmother, per his Instagram. The beautiful dress boasts a leg slit and is paired with a chunky belt.
In the second cover, Gorman wore a floor-length Dior Haute Couture dress covered with beautiful patterns.
Gorman also spoke about her newfound social media fame and her inaugural poem in the accompanying interview with the magazine. To read more about it, head over to Vogue.
