Three years after its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019, LG’s rollable OLED R TV is now available in the US. As spotted by HD Guru, the company recently updated its international site, adding an “Inquire to Buy” button to the OLED R product page.
While there’s no mention of pricing on the international site, according to Engadget, the OLED R has been retailing at 100 million KRW in South Korea, its country of origin. That’s approximately US$89,000 before international logistics—you read that right.
You might be wondering, how different could this television be? The 4K display’s viewing positions can be changed, depending on how much of the panel you want to see.
You’d also be able to completely hide the screen, or adjust its height to the perfect aspect ratio for your movie-watching needs.
The OLED R also supports AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, and users can use spoken commands to control the television and smart-home devices including myriad virtual assistants.
If you’re looking for something more down-to-Earth, Engadget recommends LG’s 2021 lineup that starts at US$1,299 for a 48-inch set.
