Gucci has swapped its usual teasers or invitation cards for an alternative that would be more useful, fun, and meaningful during the lockdown. To hype fans up for its upcoming fashion collection, Aria, the luxury label has created a puzzle book to keep guests engaged at home while encouraging them to learn a new thing or two about the brand.
The aesthetically-pleasing Gucciquiz! booklet evidently takes inspiration from nostalgic puzzle books, down to its art style, typography, and even yellowing paper, Creative Review reports. The retro-esque resource contains riddles, word and picture puzzles, as well as trivia segments educating readers about the fashion house’s revolutionary work and history.
Gucci leaves its mark in these pages through crossword squares filled with its monogram, subliminal ‘G’ shapes in a visual maze, and, of course, illustrations of its products.
The Aria presentation will be hosted virtually in a live stream on Thursday, April 15 at 9am EST (6am PST). Its autonomous scheduling reflects creative director Alessandro Michele’s fairly recent decision to depart from the seasonal fashion week arrangements.
