If you’re in New York and have yet to be vaccinated, well, you may be about to get even luckier.
New Yorkers who receive the vaccine between May 24 and May 28 at select locations across the state will be given a free lottery scratch-off ticket. This is part of the state’s efforts to encourage more people to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The scratch-off ticket could win you a $5 million lottery, and getting a shot in the arm (that’s good for you) is a small price to pay for a chance at such a windfall.
According to CNET, those aged 18 and above will receive the scratch-off card with their first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Other cash prizes you could stand a chance to win range from US$20 to $50,000. For the full list of participating sites or to schedule an appointment, visit the site here.
