If we could build an army of Bob Rosses, there would be peace on Earth. And peace is exactly what the world needs now to stride over these bizarre times.
If you’re over the annoyances of remote work, let this calming Bob Ross Virtual Art Gallery experience calm you down. Created by data scientists Connor Rothschild and Jared Wilber, the website showcases 403 paintings from the Joy of Painting series in one place.
But wait, there’s more. Rather than just display Ross’ artworks, the duo collected data from the paintings to learn more about them, such as how often the same colors were used. It turns out that the artist was most partial to a color called “alizarin crimson,” after black and white.
The fact that no one has been able to buy Ross’ paintings makes this experience even more precious. Let these oil landscapes take you back to better days by viewing them all at the Bob Ross Virtual Art Gallery.
Finally, explore the paintings interactively in a virtual art gallery!
