South Korean smash hit Squid Game has taken the internet by storm, with an inspired mobile game now available, and Netflix having to edit scenes due to incessant phone calls made to a leaked phone number.

It seems the series’ peculiar fashion choices have also caught on, with the white Vans Slip-Ons worn by the cast surging in popularity all over the globe. According to The Sole Supplier, sales for the shoes have gone up by a staggering 7,800% since the show aired.

As Input noted, with Halloween less than a month away, and the show’s incredible popularity, there’s no doubt many will be dressing up as the unwitting contestants on October 31. This could explain why so many people have purchased the Vans Slip-Ons, as a means to complete their tracksuit outfit.

While the pairs worn by the cast don’t have a brand attached, Vans’ version looks nearly identical.

If you’re planning a Squid Game Halloween costume, be sure to get your hands on the nondescript sneakers as soon as possible, with each pair retailing for US$50.

Tracksuits similar to those donned in the show have already appeared on Amazon, and in the coming weeks, it’s likely they’ll appear everywhere else, too.
