If you’re craving a luxurious getaway, how about living like Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci for a day? One of the family villas featured in hit film House of Gucci will soon be available to a lucky guest for an overnight stay via Airbnb, all for US$1,125.
The residence, situated at Lake Como, was used as Aldo Gucci’s home in the movie. The eldest son of the fashion house’s founder Guccio Gucci, Aldo had been the chairman of the brand from 1953 to 1986. The mansion is now known as Villa Balbiano and is one of the largest homes in the affluent area.
According to Robb Report, the villa had originally been built for an Italian cardinal, Tolomeo Gallio, at the end of the 16th century. It was then taken over by Angelo Maria Durini, another cardinal, about a century later, when it was used to host numerous banquets and feats.

Upon entering the home, you’ll find that many of the mansion’s furniture and artworks were sourced from elite auction houses Christie’s and Sotheby’s. It contains six suites designed by famed French architect Jacques Garcia and comes with amenities such as a pool, private pier, and even a boathouse on the waters.
Additionally, there are frescoes adorning the walls of the home from the 17th century, by brothers Giovanni Battista Recchi and Giovanni Paolo Recchi, and some by Agostino Silva.
As mentioned, the villa will only be available to a couple for a one-night’s stay on March 30, 2022. Bookings will commence on December 6, 12pm (EST).
