Apple’s Next Product Launch Could Be In March; ‘Budget’ 5G iPhone, iPad Expected

A new lineup of Apple products might be on their way as early as next month, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
This will be the firm’s first major event since October, when the new MacBook Pro was introduced.
Gurman, a tech reporter for Bloomberg, has a history of accurate reports on Apple’s plans and product launches. He has stated that an event taking place on March 8 could see a new low-cost 5G iPhone SE and iPad being revealed, as well as a new Mac.
This confirms a report from another well-known tech analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated in July 2021 that the upcoming iPhone SE 3 would have 5G support alongside a better processor. The current iPhone SE uses the A13 chip.
The current iPhone SE retails for US$399, and is a more pocket-friendly alternative to the flagship iPhones. It’s also the only model left that still uses Touch ID on a home button.
Not much has been speculated about the new iPad other than the fact that it’ll most probably be based on the iPad Air, which was last updated in October 2020.
CNBC notes that the upcoming launch event could be timed to match up with the official release of iOS 15.4, the latest version of the operating system for iPhone.
Apple plans to announce the 5G iPhone SE and a new iPad Air at an event currently scheduled for March 8th. Apple also plans to release iOS 15.4 in the first half of March. https://t.co/GB3dJOSUw8
