Sesame Street has been there for you when you were a kid, and now, it’ll be here for you into parenthood. Like LEGO, the long-running educational children’s show takes care not to neglect the ones who grew up with it, having released grownup-friendly tributes such as parodies of Stranger Things and Game of Thrones in the past.
In time for Father’s Day, Sesame Street is riffing on the theme song of the beloved 90s sitcom Friends, and calling its version Fathers.
Sesame Street’s version runs longer than the original opening theme, but that gives it enough time to pepper the humorous Father’s Day homage with sweet family moments and a top-quality selection of Friends Easter eggs.
From Smelly Cat to the Thanksgiving turkey catastrophe and “pivot,” see if you can spot some of pop culture’s most famous scenes. The comical rendition, perfect for fathers who love dad jokes, was brought to you by the letter P—for Procter & Gamble and Plan International, a humanitarian nonprofit supporting children’s rights and equality for girls.
