On what would have been Stan Lee’s 100th birthday, Marvel Entertainment released a short video clip teasing the forthcoming release of a Disney+ documentary focused on the life of the late legendary comic creator.
“100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee. Stan Lee, an Original documentary, is streaming 2023 on @DisneyPlus,” the popular production studio tweets.
In the teaser, viewers get a sneak peek of Lee participating in minor roles or making guest appearances in Marvel movies, something he was known to do often, and ends with an illustration of the comic book writer.

Lee, who made his mark as a comic book publisher alongside fellow writer-artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, eventually made his way up the ranks of a family-run business called Timely Comics, which later turned into Marvel Comics.
The creator was behind beloved superheroes Spider-Man, the Hulk, Iron Man, the X-Men series, and more. According to Variety, even after Lee retired from the firm in the 1990s, he continued to stick around by appearing in cameos and being the executive producer of Marvel movies.
Earlier this year, fans of the famed artist gathered at LA Comic Con to leave their thoughts for Lee’s centennial birthday, honoring the “legend” and “hero” by filling up an entire wall with heartwarming messages.
