Adobe Gives Away Downloadable Freebies To Celebrate 2023 Lunar New Year
By Mikelle Leow, 18 Jan 2023
Several parts of Asia observe the Lunar New Year, which is when the year rolls in according to the lunisolar calendar. In many cultures, families exchange money envelopes to ring in new opportunities and wealth. Adobe’s answer to these lucky gift packets, it seems, are free assets.
The company is hopping into a hopeful future with bunny imagery to mark the Year of the Rabbit. To start, it’s worked with South Korean illustrator CJroBlue to launch an animated greeting video reminding creatives to make time for their loved ones.
“I lived apart from my family from a young age, so I tried to capture the importance and warmth of my family in the painting,” explains the artist.
Adobe’s Lunar New Year gesture brings freebies for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom to spark creators’ inspiration for the year ahead.
The first goodie is a Year of the Rabbit-inspired red envelope that you can customize on Adobe Illustrator to gift to loved ones.
Next up is an original bunny graphic by CJroBlue, which you can add color to or dramatically build upon on Photoshop.
Lastly, Adobe has rolled out a series of Lunar New Year-themed Lightroom presets to give your photography a festive vibe.
With these, Adobe envisions users will kick off 2023 on the right (bunny’s) foot and usher in a year of creative prosperity. Download the assets here.
