Hyundai’s First Bilingual Spot Reaches Out To The Hispanic Community

In its first-ever bilingual campaign, Hyundai wants to reach out to a more diverse set of consumers, starting with the Hispanic community.
The commercial, entitled The Miles That Unite Us, portrays families and friends in ethnically-diverse groups as they travel, have fun, and make memories with their vehicles—sending a message that no matter how far apart people may be geographically, the distance covered together is what counts.
The 60-second spot, which was a collaboration with Hispanic marketing agency Lopez Negrete Communications, will air on both English and Spanish media outlets throughout 2023.
Angela Zepeda, CMO at Hyundai Motor America, says she believes it will cross over cultures and emotionally connect with a wider audience.
“Our first bilingual anthemic brand campaign with Lopez Negrete transcends our vehicles to truly capture Hyundai’s perspective on life, that while ‘miles’ are normally thought of as indicators of geographic separation, they can unite us when they are used to create experiences that bring us together,” Zepeda adds.
