Studio Ghibli & Loewe Relive Magic Of Miyazaki’s Favorite Work In Final Collab
By Nicole Rodrigues, 23 Jan 2023
Studio Ghibli and Loewe are teaming up for the final time with a lineup of clothes, bags, and accessories. And what better way to close out a collaborative partnership than to take inspiration from one of the studio’s most influential and famous movies, Howl’s Moving Castle? The animated film was widely known as Hayao Miyazaki's favorite creation.
The partnership first came together in January 2022 with a line that paid homage to the 2002 movie Spirited Away. Fans eagerly rushed to the brand’s website—and promptly crashed it in the meantime—to cop a few of the items, which included a Chihiro bag and a No Face wallet.
This time they’re back, bringing along the likes of Howl, Calcifer, and the Witch of the Waste.
One of the pieces fans can expect to see in the collection is a feathered top with Howl’s face peeking through. In addition, memorable scenes of Heen, Kakashi no Kabu, Markl in his disguise, and blue Calcifer can be seen on Loewe’s bags and accessories.
According to Loewe, unique orange Calcifer products will also be sold exclusively online.
The items go on pre-sale this February 1, with the official launch on February 2.
