Netflix Announces A New Stop-Motion Animated ‘Pokémon’ Series
By Nicole Rodrigues, 28 Feb 2023
Netflix is diving deeper into the wonderful world of Pokémon with a new incoming series, Pokémon Concierge.
The new series is set to follow Haru, the protagonist of the Pokémon XY! series. In a promotional video for the new show, we see Psyduck waddling through along a beach before Haru comes up to meet it. What’s particularly interesting about the series is that it takes a departure from its usual 2D animation and instead is adopting a stop-motion animation style.
Recently, it was announced that Ash and Pikachu are about to take their final bow for the franchise as they finally move on from their never-ending journey to “be the very best, the best there ever was.” With that, taking up the reins is Liko and Roy, and a new Captain Pikachu. Between that and the new Netflix show, there will surely be plenty to distract fans from a rather Pikachu and Ash-shaped hole in their hearts.
Aside from that, the streaming platform has not shared any other details for a release date. For its plot, it seems like fans will be following Haru and Psyduck as they meet trainers on vacation at the Pokémon Resort.
In other Pokémon news, it is about to release a new app that helps you get through sleepless nights.
