Hyatt Rolls Out Doggy Dim Sum Cart To Indulge Your Four-Legged Dumpling

Dog-tired friends can now take a paws at a five-star hotel—and even have some miniature dim sum.
If walks and belly rubs just won’t cut it, pets and their parents can turn to Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, which has just launched a hotel boarding service for pooches to live in comfort even when their humans are away.
The new offering gives puppers a place to stay on a pup-friendly floor, where they’ll be cared for by hotel staff who are also dog owners themselves. The service includes daily relax-and-exercise a sessions at a doggy playground.
But that’s for a-woof pals who need their space. Human caregivers looking for some parent-and-furkid bonding time can tuck into the new ‘Doggy Dim Sum Cart’ at the hotel’s Farmhouse restaurant.
As revealed in the menu, the doggy dim sum lineup includes steamed meatballs, braised cod with fish maw, braised quail eggs, duck with capelin, and braised chicken filet with goat milk. As is customary, all the dishes are served in pet-sized bamboo steamers. Each portion goes for HK$48 (US$6).
The restaurant also doles out birthday cakes for your pet’s special day.
Notably, dim sum, a Hong Kong tradition, translates to mean “to touch your heart,” which makes this dose of quality time even more precious.
