Uber Eats Honors Ramadan With Billboards Aligned With Sunset For Iftar
By Nicole Rodrigues, 24 Mar 2023
The holy month of Ramadan is one of the most important periods in the Islamic calendar, during which Muslims observe a period of fasting from dawn until dusk.
This practice is meant to be a time of reflection, self-discipline, and spiritual growth for the Muslim community. Those who observe Ramadan break their fast each day at sunset, known as Iftar. This timing varies depending on the location and date, as it is based on the Islamic lunar calendar.

Uber Eats is celebrating the practice of Ramadan by partnering with advertising agency Mother London to create a series of out-of-home (OOH) billboards across the UK.
These billboards display each day’s Iftar hour specific to different cities so that Muslims can plan their breaking of fast accordingly. In addition, they also feature images of various Iftar dishes that are popular in the Islamic community worldwide, such as dates, sheesh, fattoush, and watermelon.
The campaign serves as a helpful reminder for Muslims to break their fast at the appropriate time and as a celebration of the diverse and delicious cuisine enjoyed during Ramadan. By acknowledging and honoring the practice of Ramadan, Uber Eats is showing its support for the Muslim community in the UK and around the world.
