LEGO’s Nearly 4K-Piece Batcave Gives You A Detailed Slice Of Bruce Wayne’s Life
By Nicole Rodrigues, 17 May 2023
Ah, the Batcave. One of the few pieces of cinematic real estate that has fans and non-fans alike eager to own one. As it turns out, now you can—although it’s not the sprawling secret lair built by a billionaire with Gotham’s best interest in mind. Still, for LEGO collectors and DC fans, this could fill the bat-shaped hole in their hearts.
LEGO’s latest Batman-themed addition to its lineup honors Tim Burton’s iconic 1992 Batman Returns, a dark and raunchy take on the superhero. And as stylistic and eye-catching as the movie was, so is this new 3,981-piece set.
The Batcave comes as a shadowbox with an opening in the shape of the Bat-Signal. Inside, it’s chock-full of everything the winged hero needs. This includes an area to display his superhero suits, a Batarang cabinet, and his Batmobile.
If you need a little illumination inside, a light brick is included that activates after a drawbridge has been let down. Outside of that, it also comes with other moving parts, such as doors and vaults that can be opened and closed. There is also a surveillance system for minifig Batman to watch over Gotham that can even “change” channels.

Moreover, there is even a little Alfred Pennyworth figurine to keep an eye over the lair, as well as new minifigs of Catwoman, Danny DeVito’s Penguin, and Christopher Walken’s Max Shreck are included.
The set will be first available to LEGO VIP members on June 5 and to the rest of the public on June 8 for us$449.99.
