Facebook is helping users manage their digital wellbeing with a new ‘Quiet Mode’ feature. The option aims to minimize distractions from push notifications that appear on your smartphone throughout the day.
With the setting switched on, you can now mute alerts according to your desired timeframe. For instance, if your working hours are from 9am to 5pm, you can adjust notifications to be turned off during this window to keep focused on your tasks.
The social network came up with the feature to help those adjusting to new self-isolation routines amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The new section also allows you to view data about your time spent on the platform. You can browse through charts and monitor your use of Facebook throughout the day. The function also offers weekly reports on how you have managed your time over the week.
Aside from this feature aimed to kill distractions, Facebook recently unveiled a full Dark Mode on its desktop version to alleviate eye strain.
