Facebook Debuts Gaming App For Users To Livestream And Compete With Each Other

Facebook is taking on the Twitch platform by venturing into live-stream gaming in the digital space. The social media company has unveiled Facebook Gaming, where users can set up and watch live streams of games.
The standalone app will will let users watch e-sports or online gaming competitions and even participate in games with other account owners.
Facebook revealed that the app was set for release in June but its launch was expedited to help “people stay connected through games” through the coronavirus pandemic.
The company launched the Facebook Gaming app on Monday for Android users and will be soon releasing another version for Apple users.
