It looks like Elon Musk’s internet service from space is ready to launch soon.
CNBC has reported that Musk’s SpaceX company has sent out emails regarding the pricing for internet service transmitted via the new Starlink satellites.
The service will purportedly be priced at US$99 per month, but users will also be required to purchase a US$499 starter kit with tools, including a terminal, tripod, and Wi-Fi router, to connect to the internet.
There is now also a Starlink app from SpaceX available for iOS and Android, which reveals more information about the internet’s coverage.
The service will be offered to people residing in the US and Canada by the end of 2020, before being rolled out globally next year.

The Starlink iOS app has a neat augmented reality feature to ensure your Starlink phased array antenna has an unobstructed view of the sky overhead. Pretty cool! @SpaceX @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/4sNRiNjFjp
