The Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery is famed for its signature America’s Presidents exhibition, home to the country’s only complete collection of presidential portraits outside the White House.
When the museum reopens on May 14, it will feature its latest acquisition: a photograph of 45th President Donald J. Trump.
According to the Smithsonian Magazine, the portrait featured is an image of Trump captured by award-winning photographer Pari Dukovic in 2019.
Shooting for TIME magazine, Dukovic captured the shot on June 17, after the former president had announced plans to run for re-election. The picture shows him seated, with one hand resting on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.
Prominent works in the America’s Presidents exhibition includes an iconic Lansdowne Portrait of George Washington by artist Gilbert Stuart. Others are Elaine de Kooning’s portrait of John F. Kennedy, Norman Rockwell’s painting of Richard Nixon, and Chuck Close’s abstract painting of Bill Clinton.
