In April, H&M launched a new initiative in the UK, allowing customers to rent a suit at no cost for 24 hours. The fashion brand wanted to empower its customers “to make a powerful first impression” at their job interviews.
Now, the ONE/SECOND/SUIT service is coming to the US. Not only will this program help customers look good at their job interviews, but it also promotes a sustainable alternative and conscious decision to rent and not buy.
H&M posits that when we look good, we feel good. “Job interviews can be a nerve-wracking experience. But we believe nothing should hold you back. Least of all what you wear,” said Sara Spännar, Head of Marketing and Communications at H&M.
ONE/SECOND/SUIT launched in the US last week, and will run for a trial period of three months. To mark the program’s debut, H&M teamed up with director Mark Romanek for an evocative film that captures the emotions we all feel during a job interview.
