Netflix recently announced its first-ever global fan event, Tudum, scheduled to take place on September 25. The showcase will feature exclusive news, and sneak peeks at some of the streaming service’s upcoming original content.
Tudum, which was cleverly named after the sound the app makes, will feature celebrities and creators from more than 70 Netflix series, films, and even specials.
“It’s our first-ever global Tudum event, and our goal is simple: to entertain and honor Netflix fans from across the globe,” a Netflix spokesperson told TechCrunch.
The event will consist of interactive panels with the stars and minds behind some of the most popular shows. This includes fan favorites Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, The Witcher, The Crown, Cobra Kai, and Bridgerton.
Popular films will also be featured during the event, such as Red Notice, Don’t Look Up, Extraction, and The Old Guard, among others.
Netflix isn’t the first streaming company to host a virtual event for its fans. Earlier this year, Disney+ held a special online event in honor of National Streaming Day in May.
Fans who want to tune in to the livestream can do so on September 25, 12pm EDT. It will be broadcasted for free on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
Viewers of international shows can also look forward to special pre-shows promoting Netflix’s latest Korean series, Indian films, and anime shows.
