Apple May Be Working On A New 15-Inch MacBook Air For Casual Users

Earlier this month, Apple launched its most powerful personal computer chip yet, the M1 Ultra, and a Mac Studio setup for creatives to get the “studio of their dreams.”
Now, not even 30 days later, there are already rumors swirling of possible new products.
According to a report from Display Supply Chain Consultants, as seen by 9to5Mac, Apple could be planning to release a new 15-inch MacBook Air in 2023, along with an entry-level iPad sporting a larger display.
Interestingly, it seems the company will be upgrading its current 13.3-inch MacBook Air models as well, though they will still remain below 14 inches in size.
Internal emails from the company, revealed in its lawsuit with Epic, suggest that the firm has been considering launching the 15-inch MacBook Air as way back as in 2008, though it eventually went with a much smaller 11-inch model.
Additionally, famed tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the 15-inch MacBook Air will go into production in the final quarter of 2023, though it may not be called the ‘MacBook Air’ as expected.
Perhaps, as Mashable notes, the larger notebook could hit the sweet spot for casual users or students who need a bigger display, but can’t afford to shell out for the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Is it time for Apple to rebrand its MacBook Air line into something more relevant for the new era? We’ll soon find out.
