Hermès Captures The Spirit Of Childhood With Its First Perfume For Kids
By Nicole Rodrigues, 21 Oct 2022
Hermès is making Baby’s First Luxury Good with a perfume for the little ones.
The new scent, Cabriole, is a look back into early days and the future of kids, as the fragrance captures the tender moments of childlike wonder. In its campaign, Hermès tells the story of a young toddler meeting a horse for the first time before setting off on an adventure.
The eau de senteur is a gentle mix of honeysuckle and osmanthus, with notes of sandalwood and apricot. Unlike regular perfume for adults, Cabriole has a non-alcoholic water-based formula safe for kids over three.
In a report from Hypebae, Christine Nagel, director of creation and olfactory heritage for Hermès Parfums and creator of Cabriole, says that she intended to create scented water that emanates the bond between a parent and child.
Cabriole is housed in the brand’s signature lantern bottle, and on its box are sweet pictures drawn of a toddler and a horse in orange that is highly reminiscent of children’s books illustrations. Alice Charbin designed the images.
If you’re looking for your kids to smell better than you do, Cabriole is being offered on the brand’s site for US$105 for a 1.69 fl oz bottle.
