Picsart Doubles AI Prowess, Lets Couples Generate Two Avatars Together At Once
By Alexa Heah, 15 Feb 2023
It’s no secret artificial intelligence (AI) art generators have taken over the internet, from an editor that allows you to retouch pictures with text, to an algorithm that cooks up artistic food shots instantaneously, or the ultra-popular Lensa app.
One gripe users have with image generators is that a majority of these tools are only capable of generating a single person per image. Now, with the latest update to AI Avatar, Picsart’s system can finally place two people in a single shot.
The company, which launched the AI Avatar generator in late December last year, is claiming to be the first major AI editing platform with the ability to support two people simultaneously in a self-portrait, and intelligently tell them apart.
According to PetaPixel, the software runs on Stable Diffusion, a database that makes use of advanced machine learning to generate these “unique artistic portraits,” ranging from styles such as cyberpunk to pop art and fantasy.
After the images have been generated, users can continue to edit the portraits using Picsart’s variety of tools, stickers, and filters to create a final picture that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
However, it has to be noted that the algorithm recently came under fire for allegedly scraping up to 12 million photographs from Getty Images’ extensive collection of stock images and metadata.
AI Avatar Couples can be accessed on the Picsart app in packs of 50, 100, and 200, retailing at US$3.99, US$4.99, and US$6.99 respectively.
