Subway is crafting sandwich bags, but not the sort you have in mind. The casual food chain has introduced ‘Sidekick Safes’, designed to keep your favorite foot-long snacks both warm and under lock and key from other hungry souls. This more than half-baked idea arrives on the heels of the brand’s latest menu sensations—the Footlong Sidekicks—comprising delectable treats like Footlong Cookies, Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzels, and Cinnabon Footlong Churros.
Since their debut last month, the other footlongs have been flying off the ovens, with fans already gobbling up more than nine million units, says the company.

It’s certainly no Panera Bread designer baguette purse, but the tube-shaped holder is three times as functional—and, arguably, an infinite times more useful for carrying snacks than Balenciaga’s new, US$1,750 potato chip bags. Crafted with care by a dedicated team of designers and engineers, the Sidekick Safe, which made its first appearance at Super Bowl LVII in Las Vegas, consists of a 39-inch safe equipped with three insulated compartments perfectly sized for Footlong snacks so you’ll have a toasty, sweet or savory bite on hand wherever you may be.
Keeping security and portability close to heart, this cylinder also comes with a keypad lock and a convenient carrying strap. Can you say, tubular?

Subway is ensuring your need for snacks is met right away by giving away 100 of these coveted safes. From February 29 to March 2, fans can visit SubwaySidekickSafe.com for a chance at swiping a bag by uploading a photo of themselves enjoying a Footlong Sidekick.
